Since 1993 José Mauricio has offered legal services advising and representing multinational, U.S., European and Latin American companies, many of which are Fortune 500® companies. José Mauricio has experience in various sectors, such as pharmaceutical, food, automotive, technology (hardware and software,) petrochemical, construction, logistics, retail, among others. He also worked as in-house legal counsel within the Latin American Division of a U.S. based multinational corporation dealing with legal matters of several countries throughout the Latin American region.
José Mauricio resorts to his experience and corporate insider’s knowledge to advise and represent entrepreneurs looking to grow their businesses.
Preventive Legal Advice
Business growth must be accompanied with certainty, especially when it comes to identifying, evaluating and mitigating areas of legal risks. Judicial disputes regarding commercial issues are so economically burdensome that may even put the company’s existence at risk. The job of a corporate attorney is to anticipate and prevent disputes and to secure the client’s position in the event a dispute arises. José Mauricio has also worked as a litigation attorney; in fact, he was in charge of coordinating litigation counsel in various Latin American countries. That experience serves him well when it comes to finding and mitigating areas of legal risk.
Business Vision
The legal discipline should not be static or abstract. It must adapt to the demands of a changing business environment. The law should be used as a tool for growth and innovation for business ventures. José Mauricio has developed his legal career alongside entrepreneurs, feeding on their vision and understanding their needs.
Latin American Vision and Experience
José Mauricio worked in the Latin American and Caribbean Division of a Fortune-500® Company. For over 6 years, he evaluated, advised and took legal decisions regarding business transactions and judicial disputes in different countries of the region...
